?:?? am: Seated in a prefabricated home outside a Plains town, Cumberland, stepping out to eye the surrounds, stretching for miles, all of it, pasture, sparse trees and barns coated with an even limestone dusting, realizing that something to be hidden, with residents eager to find a buy-in.
6:10 am: The dream has a tendency to make even the most familiar of scenes the strangest with the mere addition of one unseemly detail. Even the natal plains can hold mystery for the estranged native and so become a mythology unto themselves.
