Dream Experiment CXXXVI
?:??am: Scaling a steep, wooden stair into the smallest of attic spaces, the trapdoor opening enough to allow the body, larger than usual, to slip through and heave itself onto a narrow bench spanning the attic room and otherwise serving as bed, looking about at settings and things left months earlier, dark woodbeams and stuffy air, screen ahead.
9:00am: In contrast with the unfamiliarity of the body inhabited during the dream, the attic room held a startling familiarity for both dream-subject and dreamer, to the point that it seemed likely to figure amongst the small number of permanent spaces to which the dream-logic returns the dreamer from time to time, to those rooms outside ordinary space and time, like the winged base seen elsewhere.
